Zhangjiakou is a stop worth stopping at in the Winter Olympic City. For 2 days and 1 night, between Chongli Ski and Grassland Sky Road, you'll encounter the unique atmosphere of Zhangjiakou.
Before venturing deep into Zhangjiakou, the skiing atmosphere of Chongli was already there. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
The Grassland Sky Road is the most visually stunning part of Zhangjiakou. Walking along its veins, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds and slipping into Dajingmen, Zhangjiakou reveals its true self. The elderly, alleys, stove fires, and laughter all settle into memory before the scenic spots.
After nightfall, the dam in Zhangjiakou lights up, and the warm yellow glow turns the grandeur of the day into a gentle embrace. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Zhangjiakou, I felt a bit reluctant, but what played in my mind was skiing in Chongli. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself on you.
