Zhangjiajie: Avatar Mountain Peak suspended in a sea of clouds

The peaks of Zhangjiajie don't just grow out; they "stand" between heaven and earth. Four days and three nights, traveling between three thousand strange peaks and sea of clouds, searching for the prototype of Hallelujah in "Avatar."

Stepping into Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the first thing you see is the dense stone pillars. Over three thousand quartz sandstone peaks rise from the ground, and after the rain, sea of clouds flows between the peaks, resembling floating mountains from science fiction movies. The "Universe Pillars" of Yuanjiajie are the prototype for Hallelujah Mountain.

Take the Hundred Dragons Heavenly Ladder straight to the summit, and in just a few minutes, you'll rise from the valley floor to the clouds. Standing from the Maze Terrace and looking down, the peaks and forests are like bamboo shoots, and the deep valleys are as dark as ink. If you catch the sea of clouds at dawn, the entire mountain range surges beneath your feet—it's the most breathtaking scene in Zhangjiajie.

Yubi Peak and Helong Park on Tianzi Mountain are other classics. The stone peaks here are even more spacious and grand, glowing with a warm red glow under the setting sun. Hiking down the mountain to the Ten-Mile Gallery, the strange peaks on both sides resemble natural sculptures, with small trains slowly passing through them.

The next day, we challenged Tianmen Mountain. We rode the world's longest cableway upward, ascending from the city into the clouds along the way. The glass walkway pressed against the cliff, with a thousand-meter-deep abyss beneath our feet; The massive Tianmen Cave looked like a mountain gate split open, with mist and clouds passing through, breathtakingly spectacular.

What Zhangjiajie teaches people is a kind of reverence for nature. When the clouds and mist disperse and the peaks pierce the sky, you suddenly understand why this place is called "a miniature fairyland, an enlarged bonsai." When leaving, the clothes were still damp with mountain moisture.
