Yichang: The strength of dams

Yichang is a stop worth stopping at at the gateway to the Three Gorges. For 2 days and 1 night, between the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhouba, you'll encounter the unique atmosphere of Yichang.

Before venturing deep into Yichang, the presence of the Three Gorges Dam had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, making one just want to stand a little longer.

Gezhouba is the most visually appealing part of Yichang. Following its veins slowly, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.

Avoiding the crowds and slipping into Xiling Gorge, Yichang reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle into memory before the scenic spots.

After nightfall, the clear river in Yichang lights up, and the warm yellow light turns the grandeur of the day into gentleness. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.

When leaving Yichang, I felt a bit reluctant, but the Three Gorges Dam replayed in my mind. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself within you.
