Yan'an: Yaodong and Yan River

Yan'an is a stop at the foot of Baota Mountain worth making a special stop. One day, between Baota Mountain and Zaoyuan, encounter the unique atmosphere of Yan'an.

Before venturing deep into Yan'an, the presence of Baota Mountain had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.

Zaoyuan is the most captivating highlight of Yan'an. Following its veins slowly, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.

Avoiding crowds and slipping into cave dwellings, Yan'an reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter settle into memory before the scenic spots.

After nightfall, the Yan River in Yan'an lights up, the warm yellow light turning the grandeur of the day into gentleness. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.

When leaving Yan'an, I felt a bit reluctant, but what replayed in my mind was Baota Mountain. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was not in vain—it quietly left a part of itself with you.
