The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and the Tang Dynasty All Day City are projections of the flourishing Tang Dynasty. At night, the city is lit up like day, with the roly-poly toy girls and Tang poetry lantern streets showcasing Chang'an's prosperity to people today.
Hui Street and Yongxing Lane are battlegrounds for the taste buds. Roujiamo, cold noodles, lamb paomo, biangbiang noodles—a bowl of hot soup captures the boldness of Guanzhong locals.
Xi'an's depth is that it has compressed a thousand years into everyday life. When you ride a bike on the city wall and watch traffic blend with the ancient city, you'll understand: the ancient capital is ancient because it has never truly left.
