Before venturing deep into Turpan, the scent of Grape Valley had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly soothed it, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
Karwell is the most captivating part of Turpan. Following its flow slowly, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds and slipping into Flaming Mountain, Turpan reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle in memory before the sights do.
After nightfall, the Jiaohe River in Turpan lights up, and the warm yellow glow turns the grandeur of the day into gentleness. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a kind of arrival.
