Shennongjia: The Wild Seeker and the Secret Realm of the Primeval Forest

Shennongjia is the roof of central China and the hometown of wild legends. Four days and three nights, from the sea of clouds at Shennongding to the morning mist over Jiuhu, searching for a secret realm forgotten by time between the primeval forest and golden monkeys.

Shennong Peak stands at 3,100 meters above sea level, making it the tallest peak in Central China. From the summit, a sea of clouds surges beneath your feet, and fir forests stretch along the mountain slopes into a dark green sea. Legend has it that Shennong built a structure here to gather herbs, hence the name "Shennongjia."

Dajiu Lake is a high-altitude wetland, with nine lakes lined in a single line. Morning mist rises from the water's surface, with sambar deer and black-necked cranes appearing among them—a paradise for photographers. After the rain, the sky clears, and reflections merge with the sky.

Go to Guanmen Mountain to see the golden snub-nosed monkeys. This rare primate lives freely in the forests of the reserve. You can watch them climb and groom up close in the monkey viewing area, their golden fur shining in the sunlight, looking adorable.

Banbi Rock is jagged and jagged, making it the place where 'wild men' most often witness it. The rocks are weathered into all sorts of bizarre shapes, and the forest paths are deep and secluded. Here, legends and truths become ambiguous, adding to the mystery.

The wilderness of Shennongjia is the breath of civilization's edge. When you stand in a deserted forest and hear the wind passing through thousand-year-old firs, you suddenly believe that some secrets should remain in legends and need not be exposed.
