Before venturing deep into Rotterdam, the scent of the block house had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly soothed it, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
The market hall is Rotterdam's most captivating feature. Walking along its veins, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds and entering the European harbor, Rotterdam reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle into memory before the sights do.
After nightfall, Rotterdam's Children's Embankment windmill lights up, and the warm yellow glow gently harvests the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Rotterdam, I felt a bit reluctant, but my mind replayed the Block House. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself on you.
