Avoiding the crowds and slipping into the church, Riga reveals its true form. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle into memory before the sights do.
After nightfall, Riga's markets light up, and the warm yellow glow gently embraces the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
