The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek in Nepal is an entry-level pilgrimage to the snowy mountains. Eight days and seven nights, walking close to the peaks of the Himalayas.

Starting from Pokhara, Phewa Lake reflects the snowy summit of Annapurna. Take a day off first to watch the sunrise over Yuwei Peak dye the lake gold, then head into the mountains for a more reassuring experience.

Walking upstream along Modin and Qiaomlong, the azalea forest, bamboo sea, and suspension bridge appear in succession. Porters and porters brush past each other; the villagers' smiles are the best supply on the road.

To ABC Base Camp (4130 meters), you'll be surrounded 360 degrees by snow-capped mountains: Annapurna No. 1 and No. 3 are just steps away from Yuwei Peak. The morning sunlight shines on the golden mountain, lighting up the entire theater—the highest reward of hiking.

Descending along the hot water river, the natural hot springs soak to wash away fatigue, with steam and snow-capped mountains in the frame—the most healing footnote to the journey.

Nepal's journey is measured by your footsteps. When you watch the Milky Way hang over snowy peaks in the camp, you'll understand: some scenery only rewards those willing to walk a long way.
