Mount Hua is famous worldwide for its danger. In two days and one night, from the Xifeng Cableway to the Sky Plank Road, between sheer cliffs and sea of clouds, you embark on a journey of courage.
Take the Xifeng cableway straight up, one of the most dangerous in the world. The carriage hangs above a deep valley, slowly ascending, with towering cliffs like chisels below. Exiting the cable car station, the main peak of Mount Hua is right before your eyes.
The real thrill is on the Sky Boardwalk. Wooden planks are set up on vertical cliff faces, with iron chains on one side and an abyss on the other. People face the wall and walk close to their belly, their heartbeats pounding so fast their eardrums ring. This is the most straightforward footnote to the phrase 'dangerous' on Mount Hua.
The hawk's turn also tests courage, requiring you to descend steep slopes and grab iron chains to land your feet. Bold travelers favor this spot because the view overlooking the deep valley is a breathtaking sight that no other place can offer.
Stay overnight on the East Peak while waiting for the sunrise. Mount Hua's sunrise is as famous as the sea of clouds. When the morning sun dyes the first peak red, the distant mountains bloom like lotus flowers, and the grandeur of 'Mount Hua stands tall' sweeps you forward.
