Mangshi is a stop worth making a special stop in the Dai Scenery Window. One day, between the Menghuan Golden Pagoda and the Shubao Pagoda, encounter the unique atmosphere of Mangshi.
The first impression Mangshi gives is almost always the Menghuan Golden Pagoda. When it actually appears before your eyes, the imagination in the picture suddenly gains weight, and the journey officially begins from that moment.
When it comes to Mangshi, locals usually mention Shubao Pagoda first. Only after experiencing it do you realize that landmarks are never isolated scenery, but rather the entrance to an entire section of life.
The food street hides another side of Mangshi. With less crowd from tourists and more daily warmth, you suddenly feel like you've briefly become a part of this place.
If you have the energy, visit the Dai village. There are no standard answers there, only your own pace, perfectly filling your itinerary.
Mangshi taught me one thing: you don't have to chase after every sight, just as the Menghuan Golden Pagoda taught me—the best scenery is always where you're willing to stop and take a closer look.
