Karuizawa is a must-visit stop for highland summer retreats. For two days and one night, between the church and the prince shopping, you'll experience the unique atmosphere of Karuizawa.

Before venturing deep into Karuizawa, the presence of the church had already arrived. Seeing that scene from afar, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.

Prince shopping is the most captivating part of Karuizawa. Walking along its veins, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.

Avoiding crowds and slipping into the forest, Karuizawa reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle in memory before the sights do.

After nightfall, the larches in Karuizawa are lit up, and the warm yellow glow gently harvests the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.

When leaving Karuizawa, I felt a bit reluctant, but the church played back in my mind. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself with you.
