Guilin is a must-visit stop in the world's best mountains and waters. Three days and two nights, between the Li River and Elephant Trunk Mountain, you encounter the unique atmosphere of Guilin.
Before venturing deep into Guilin, the breath of the Li River arrives first. Seeing that scene from afar, even the fatigue from traveling quietly soothes it, and I just want to stand a little longer.
Elephant Trunk Hill is the most captivating part of Guilin. Following its veins slowly, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding crowds and entering the Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin reveals its true self. The elderly, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle into memory before the scenic spots.
After nightfall, the lights turn on in the suburbs of Yangshuo near Guilin, and the warm yellow glow turns the grandeur of the day into gentleness. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Guilin, I felt a bit reluctant, but the image of the Li River replayed in my mind. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself with you.
