Before venturing deep into Mount Fuji, the presence of the Fifth Station had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
Lake Kawaguchi is the most visually stunning part of Mount Fuji. Walking along its veins, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds, you slip into Oshino Hakkai, where Mount Fuji reveals its true form. Old people, alleys, stoves, and laughter all settle into memory before the sights do.
After nightfall, Lake Yamanaka on Mount Fuji lights up, and the warm yellow glow gently embraces the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Mount Fuji, I felt a bit reluctant, but what played in my mind was the Fifth Station. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself within you.
