Dili is a must-visit stop in Shuri, East Timor. One day, between the Christ statue and the beach, experience the unique atmosphere of Dili.
Before venturing deep into Dili, the presence of the Christ statue had already arrived. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly soothed me, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
The beach is the most captivating part of Dili. Walking along its veins, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds and entering the mountains, Dili reveals its true self. The elderly, the alley, the stove, and the laughter all settle into your memory before the scenic spots.
After nightfall, the market lights up in Dili, and the warm yellow glow gently embraces the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Dili, I felt a bit reluctant, but the image of Christ replayed in my mind. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself within you.
