Chaozhou is a must-visit stop in the Chaoshan flavor world. For two days and one night, between Paifang Street and Guangji Bridge, you'll encounter the unique atmosphere of Chaozhou.
Before venturing deep into Chaozhou, the atmosphere of Paifang Street arrived first. From afar, seeing that scene, even the fatigue from traveling quietly eased, and I just wanted to stand a little longer.
Guangji Bridge is the most visually stunning part of Chaozhou. Following its veins slowly, every corner hides a different expression, stretching time and space here.
Avoiding the crowds and slipping into Gongfu Tea, Chaozhou reveals its true self. Old people, alleys, stove fires, and laughter all settle into your memories before the scenic spots.
After nightfall, the beef hotpot lights in Chaozhou turn on, and the warm yellow glow gently completes the grandeur of the day. Sitting down and doing nothing is also a form of arrival.
When leaving Chaozhou, I felt a bit reluctant, but what replayed in my mind was Paifang Street. But it was precisely this reluctance that proved the trip was worthwhile—it quietly left a part of itself within you.
