Don't want to spend a lot of money during summer vacation? But I stayed in the front row of the snow mountain at an altitude of 3000+! I originally thought these guesthouses where you could see snow mountains and soak in private hot springs cost at least one or two thousand yuan, but when I came across the Siguniang Mountain place, which was so affordable in summer that I had to watch it several times before I could believe it.
Driving 3.5 hours from Chengdu, we arrived at Weizhen and headed up the mountain. The guesthouse was hidden in the woods halfway up the mountain. The moment we got off, the mountain breeze blew away the 40-degree heat—it was amazing.
▫️ The entire house has floor-to-ceiling windows, and from your bed you can see the endless snow-capped mountains. During the day, clouds drift halfway up the mountain, and if you're lucky, you might even encounter a sea of clouds. The morning sunlight gilds the summit of the snowy mountain, so you don't need to climb—you can see it just lying down.
