A 3.5-hour drive from Chengdu arrives at Weizhen and heads up the mountain; the guesthouse is hidden in the woods halfway up the mountain. The moment I got off, the mountain breeze blew away the 40-degree heat—it was amazing.
▫️ The entire house has floor-to-ceiling windows, and from your bed you can see the endless snow-capped mountains. During the day, clouds drift halfway up the mountainside, and if you're lucky, you might even encounter a sea of clouds. The morning sunlight gilded the snow-capped summit, so you don't have to climb—just lie down and see it.
