Shenyang
#探秘博物馆 This museum is truly large, with more than twenty exhibition halls from top to bottom, and the content is so rich and extensive it can be vast. What frustrated me most was that several treasures of the museum were moved back and forth, and after moving, they were casually placed aside, not even given a standalone display case, which left many people unable 😅 to find them.
First, about appointments: no need to make an appointment, just go directly, which is quite convenient. As for transportation, parking spaces were tight during the National Day holiday. We went to the underground parking lot of Central Park in the west side, which had plenty of spots and was close to the park.
Exhibition content: The main exhibition hall is on three floors, with a total of five halls. As soon as we entered, we headed straight to the third floor, but after touring all five halls, we didn't see a single of the treasures we'd been longing for. I asked the staff and found out that it had moved to the first exhibition hall on the first floor. So after a bit of fussing down from the third floor, I finally saw the Jade Pig Dragon, but the duck-shaped glass cup was nowhere to be seen 😅. Finally, after seeking help again, I found it was actually placed in a corner, not mixed in with a standalone display case...... What kind of commotion is this? Playing hide-and-seek? 😵
Besides the basic historical exhibitions, the entire third floor also features a host of special exhibition halls: ancient Chinese inscriptions, Ming and Qing jade and porcelain, ancient bronze mirrors, ancient currency, Liao dynasty ceramics, Manchu folk customs, historical seals, Buddhist statues, and even a children's experience center—quite extensive.
