After a few urban days, a place such as Guilin, Yangshuo, or Yunnan gives the route a different rhythm. Stay long enough to experience morning and evening, not only the view.

A day with no long transfer and only one optional plan is a practical investment. It helps when weather changes, tickets move, or you simply find a place worth lingering in.
